First and foremost, we are about artist collaboration. Sharpening the blade between artists and challenging each other to push their limits. We are a community that helps each other grown stronger. This is done in real-life meetups where questions and answers are answered about “the artworld.”
There is something to be said about working along while you figure things out yourself —Hiding secrets from everyone while you pull ahead. More often than not, however, better work is made when surrounded by creativity. When working with a team you have more options.
Law 18 from The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene:
“The world is dangerous and enemies are everywhere—everyone has to protect themselves. A fortress seems the safest. But isolation exposes you to more dangers than it protects you from—it cuts you off from valuable information, it makes you conspicuous and an easy target. Better to circulate among people, find allies, mingle. You are shielded from your enemies by the crowd.”
Think of this site as a tool to promote yourself. More importantly though, think of this as an opportunity to be surrounded by talent NEAR YOU.
We’re happy you asked. This site is all about showcasing Detroit (and surrounding cities) BEST artwork in the fields of design, photography, multimedia, painting, video, and sculpture. This website is NOT designed to park all of your online galleries or become your primary website. For artists first submissions, a limit of 20 images is our rule of thumb.
We don’t mind if your work is commercial, God knows we all need the money now days. However, we prefer work that is personal and done for artistic merits such as self expression or to illustrate a point. If the commercial design is done in an artistic way and is aesthetically sound, we will feature it in a heartbeat.
We are not responsible for maintaining model release forms or copyrights. We assume that images you submit to us are within your rights.
If you are a team player and you have steller work, than please follow the rules below when submitting images.
